Instructor Course: Heartsaver, BLS (CPR & First Aid)

Upon completion of the Instructor Course criteria, instructor candidates will be able to teach American heart Association courses in the discipline selected using the video and lesson maps that are part of the appropriate course instructor materials. Instructor candidates will also be able to use the new testing materials to conduct skills testing.

BLS Instructors- will be able to teach BLS for healthcare provider courses to Physicians, Nurses, CNA's and other healthcare professionals as well as laypersons.

Heartsaver Instructors- will be able to teach Heartsaver CPR & First Aid courses to Daycares, companies, fitness professionals, teachers, and all laypersons.

The ACLS Provider course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage cardiac arrest, stable and unstable cardiac rhythms, acute coronary syndrome, airway management and stroke of an adult. This course is designed for emergency department staff, intensive care units, or critical care departments, physicians, nurses, emergency techs, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.

PALS

For pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies. Call us if you are not sure of which course you need The goal of the PALS course is to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to pediatric healthcare providers in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment, effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.

BLS for Healthcare Providers
